Hydroxycut Review
I must admit that I am a bit of a ‘junkie’ when it comes to weight loss pills. Whenever my eye catches sight of something new in the stores, I just have to try it! I mean, it’s not just about being thin anymore though, is it? Why not go the whole hog and aim for that chiselled or toned look? That’s why I became pretty excited when I found out about a weight loss pill going by the name of Hydroxycut, because quite apart from the normal weight loss features the supplement provides, this one promised more than that- it also alleged to help you attain that toned body you have always wanted! What better time for a bit of research?
Hydroxycut is a supplement produced by a company called Muscle Tech and it is apparently known as the old man of all weight loss supplements as it has been around for years. Looking into it further, I found out that it claims to help people, but especially men, attain a body they’ve always wanted. Now I must admit that at this point I started worrying- why especially men? Does it not have the same effects on women? I needn’t have been concerned though as I subsequently found out that since those heady days it has undergone numerous changes in formulation to help improve its function and effectiveness, so now works just as well on women.
The promises made by the manufacturer raised my eyebrows slightly, as it stated that not only will it help to decrease body fat by nearly eight percent, it will also increase your norepinephrine levels by forty percent! Wow! All very good, but will it really do as stated? As for the ingredients, I found out that it contains, among other things, green tea extract, white willow extract and 280mg of caffeine (now that would make a strong cup of coffee)!
These ingredients are pretty much standard to most weight loss supplements available today, with green tea and caffeine both known to be able to help in your weight loss endeavours. It may be prudent to check with your doctor beforehand though, especially if you are unable to take such a large dose of caffeine in one go. Luckily, I don’t have a problem with that as coffee happens to be my favourite drink and I think my body is immune to caffeine effects at this stage!
Apparently the manufacturer deems that Hydroxycut is unique because of the actual blend of ingredients, which includes, apart from the green tea extract, Lasidrate Delivery Blend, Yohimbacore Blend and Norepidrol Intensity Focus Blend- all fancy names that didn’t really mean anything to me at all!
Well, enough information I think and as I didn’t come across any problems during my research, it was time for the acid test. As per Muscle Tech, Hydroxycut should be taken as a dietary supplement, three capsules a time with a glass of water two times a day. They recommend taking it before doing some exercise.
After a week of taking the capsules, I hadn’t had any side effects at all and had, in fact, lost a pound-and-a-half into the bargain. It’s early days yet but I have certainly been encouraged by the great start!

Hi Nissa,
I’m very sorry to hear that. Of course different pills (diet pills in particular) may work differently for different people.
When you are having severe side-effects you should stop taking the pills immediately and consult your doctor.

i was curious as to wheather or not marijuana causes any reaction with the hydroxycut when taken at the same time.
on July 12th, 2008 at 8:07 pm
I just started taking this Hydroxycut.
It seems working pretty well.
I can run and exercise longer and harder.~
But I feel dizzy,,,,(because of caffeine)
and since there are so much caffeine in it, I can not really
sleep….
I mean I seem to have no side effects other than not being able to sleep so well.
Will I get used to this caffeine thing?
on July 20th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
I feel I may have some side effect too. I feel sick all day. I can’t even smell food. I have a hard time falling asleep also.
on August 1st, 2008 at 3:39 pm
I took this and the side effects I had were alarming, however I lost 10 lbs the 1st week and 5 the 2nd. I then had to stop taking as I had a headache that lasted for 4 days straight and didnt react to aspirin . I had increased heart beat, nausea , couldnt sleep at night , and recurring headaches. But it did work. I modified my diet but didnt work out at all besides walking.

So day 1 on Hydroxycut or should i say first 2 hours! I had been using another product called Reductil which i purchased from my pharmacy, after using this for 1 week and continuing with my normal exercise program, which consists of 1 1/2 hrs of intense muay thai training 4 times a week and weights etc also 4 times a week, i kept being sick half way through my sessions, so i decided to look for another solution, thats where i came across Hydroxycut, so today is my first day, i woke up around 9, and took my first 2 tablets with water, as per the instructions, after approximately 20 minutes i began to shake like never before, i could hear my heart beat coming out of my ears and i become very confused and couldn’t feel much of my body… i didnt want to panic because this would only make things worse, this happened to me once before after a night of too many red bulls, when i started to panic then hyperventilating then into shock and had to go to hosipal where they give a injection to calm me down. So still confused and looking like a mentally insane patient, i decided to eat, so i made myself 2 peices of toast with banana on, when i had eaten my first slice and then reached for my second, to add to my confusion i noticed my plate was empty! i was even more confused than before! did i make two? (im sure i did) did i eat two? (im sure i never) but i guess i will never know! then i drunk a pint of water, after around 15 mins my heart started to calm down and i wasnt shaking as much and starting to get some feeling back in my body. I am going to continue with my hydroxycut course and see how we get on, after all i have just put something into my body that is not normally there, so i guess they will both learn how to cope with each other if given time. So at this point i cannot say if Hydroxycut is good or bad, but would recommend to any first time users to be prepaired for your body and mind to act differently, but DO NOT PANIC IT WILL ONLY MAKE EVERYTHING WORSE. I would also recommend in starting with a low dosage ie, 1 tablet twice or three times daily and slowly let your body adjust to the changes for around a week and then increase the tablets taken, DO NOT RUSH otherwise you may well be putting your health or life at risk, but do stick with it as ive done lots of research on this product and am confident you will see results. And on that bombshell im going to hunt for my missing peice of toast! and will keep you updated on my progress :o)

The headaches are most likely the result of caffiene withdrawl. Caffiene causes a temporary constriction of blood flow in the brain as a result of increased heart rate (or vice versa). As your body adjusts to the caffiene levels then your bloodflow in the brain increases causing blood vessels to expand (this is called a headache.).
As for the nausea, eat something after taking the pills, caffiene on an empty stomach will cause your stomach to constrict and shrink making you feel nausea.
I personally take Hydroxycut more as a stimulant for excersise than believing it will cause weight loss on my own. I find my motivation is less likely to wane when I have have taken plenty of caffiene. I don’t see anything in the ingredients that would actually cause fat to burn off on its own.

Iv been taking this suppliment for three months and have seen great results. The only side effect I have had is my liver hurts when im dehydrated. So make sure you drink a lot of water, When and after you work out!
on August 31st, 2008 at 8:22 pm
I bought Hydroxycut and lost almost 15lbs in about 4 weeks. I had no side effects really just rapid heart rate for the first 2 days, but other than that I felt great.
I was also on a diet and going to the gym 4 days a week doing cardio for about a half hour each day to burn some of the energy.

Has anyone found that hydroxy cut made there skin break out.
on September 23rd, 2008 at 1:39 pm
Hi
ive been using hydroxycut hardcore the only things ive noticed while taking these pills were that i felt oddly uncofortable just a bit
and that it makes me sweat alot i mean alot like when i would play soccer the sweat was so much that it would get in my eyes and mess with my vision …so ya ill give it a good rating just cuz of that but what i thought was weird was that i needed to take 6 pills a day 3 before breakfest and 3 before dinner but on days of work outs i had to take another 3 thats 9 put together a day cuz i got tot the gym and play soccer pretty much everyday so i didnt do that but stilll managae to run outta pills so soon
im not gonna get anymore ya kidding me youd have to be all hardocre into that losing weight
i figure that the sweat was becuz it required me to drink 10 glasses a day which i never ever did the most water i drank a day was 4 glasses before hydroxy cut came to my life so no im not gonna spend more money on pills id rather get green tea that speeds up the metabolism so i woulnt touch the hydroxy cut anymore

Hydroxycut has been working just fine for me, especially since I read all of the instructions. Many of the cons that I have read here can easily be avoided.
Headaches and Dehydration: Can be caused by not drinking enough water or too much caffeine. Hydroxycut has a caffeine free formula and the label clearly says to drink at least 10 glasses of water while using it.
Nausea: Hydroxycut is recommended with a modified diet and exercise plan. Nausea may be caused by a reaction to a specific diet. It may also just be a reaction to your body type, everyone handles supplements differently.
on September 26th, 2008 at 10:21 pm
Hey everyone, the people who have side effects try a low dosage and due put something nutrional in your stomach before taking. Ive been bodybuilding for years and use this supplement on my cutting stages. I have had severe hadaches from this product but then relized the headaches stopped when i started to consume atleast 60 to 70ozs of water a day. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FOR EVERYONE REMEMBER THAT! If side effects continue stop using product i suggest the caffenine free.

I WAS WONDERING IF YOUR ALLOWED TO TAKE MEDS WITH THE DIET PILLS? I HAVE MS AND IT IS VERY HARD FOR ME TO WORK OUT, SO I THOUGHT I WOULD TRY THESE DIET PILLS. THANKS
on October 2nd, 2008 at 1:24 pm
I took Hydroxycut for a few months last year. The first week or so I did have some abnormal side effects, much similar to Anna and Nissa. Once I even had a bad series of dry heaving. I read over the label and discovered the most important thing to do when taking this pill: DRINKS LOTS OF WATER! The ingredients in the pill use up the water in your body so you feel dehydrated, which causes nausea. After I discovered that I continued taking the pill with lots of water in my diet. I did not change what I ate, only made the portions smaller, and I ran about a mile and did 60 sit ups every day. With that little amount of change, After 3 months of suprising drops on the scale, I found that I had gone from 196lbs. to a mere 145lbs. I continued to take it but I plateued because you are only supposed to take it for a few months and stop, and start back a few months later. I have gained 5 lbs since, and I am now trying to lose the last 20 of my goal of 130lbs. I will definately recommend Hydroxycut!

I have a bottle of each. One with Caffeine and one without. My first 2 doses are with the caffeine and the last one without, therefore I don’t have all that caffeine in my system before bedtime and sleep is a breeze. As far as losing weight it’s been working for me…I do Wii Fit about 5 times a week, and jog 3 times a week.
on November 3rd, 2008 at 6:21 pm
i feel like i have gained weight from this… i have even been eating better too… i am taking the Hydroxycut 7 day cleanse…is that my problem? my mom took the regular pills and she lost quite a bit of weight but i just don’t feel like i am getting anywhere…?

Can I take 2 pills a day with lots of water?
on December 3rd, 2008 at 3:17 am
i just got this pill yesterday, i feel great already, but im wondering….does age have any effect on it? im in my first year of college, so im 18, i know that seems young, but im determined to get in shape and lose a lot of the weight since im starting a new stage in life and am quite a bit overweight, anyone have any answers? ive taken it two days and i actually feel really good, even my roommate said i looked thinner, it couldve juss been the clothes though, who knows, i eat healthy and control my servings, and my appetite is practically nonexistent unless i go down to the caf and get a plate in front of me, so if anyone could give me some answers, that would be greaetly appreciated.

I am only on my 5th day of taking hydroxycut, but so far I have no side effects at all. I do not take the pill after 5 however. I am not overweight, just trying to tone up my stomach area as I do cardio 4-5 times a week. I am only 23 so still enjoy having beers with my friends so I cannot cut my diet down perfectly, but I watch what I eat for the most part and am curious to see what this pill will do if I continue to work out hard. I enjoyed everyone’s suggestions and comments!
on December 30th, 2008 at 5:38 pm
I’ve tried hydrxycut before and still have half of the bottle left. I must say that I saw results not too long after taking it, but now, three months after I have stopped taking it, I have put on about 15 pounds. I’m not sure why this happened, other than maybe my metabolism has slowed down. I am 24 years old and I am fairly active. The only side effects I noticed was an intense heartbeat when I layed down at night. I could hear my heartbeat and it would keep my awake! I tend to drink coffee everyday when I am not taking it so I am used to the caffine. But it works… it’s just something to consider.
on December 31st, 2008 at 7:25 am
I’ve been taking the pills for 2 weeks and I feel better than ever I do cardio 7 days a week for 40min, I could never do it for that long before, but I don’t want any of the side effects so I take only one pill a day before my workout.
on January 1st, 2009 at 7:02 pm
I am on day 3 of taking the pills. No side effects yet, but I am full of energy. I am wondering how quickly people start seeing results?
I have noticed on some reviews on other sites that people take up to 4 pills at a time, but my bottle says 2 at a time is the maximum dose. Can we take more than 2 at a time?
on January 6th, 2009 at 8:27 pm
Good lord, are you people insane? This pill is clearly grossly unhealthy. All diet pills are unhealthy. 300 mg of caffeine in one pill? You’re lucky your heart doesn’t jump out of your chest after you take two or three. Please people, there are very clearly designed natural and healthy ways to lose weight. By going for the “magic bullet” solution, you are only harming yourself in the long run.
- Eat veggies, Lots of veggies. I mean like a huge salad with dinner every day, and something at lunch too
- Keep hydrated
- Keep your calories low, but don’t starve yourself. you do need food.
- Exercise daily. walking isn’t enough, you need a good 30 mins of moderately intense cardio supplemented by light weight lifting.
Do this for a few months and I promise you will lose weight. I lost 40 pounds doing exactly this, and I am by no means a health freak. Losing weight is all about common sense, and common sense should tell you that there is no magic pill that will make you fit and healthy.

I am just starting starting out with Hydoxycut. I work graveyard so everything is backwards for me. I work out after I get off in the morning. Should I take 2 caps 30 mins before my workout?

I’ve been taking hydroxycut for about a week now with a low calorie diet and excersise ive lost about 5 ibs and i feel pretty good about myself..
if you plan on taking hydroxycut you need to atleast excersise some what and not eat fast food or drink pop..
you’ll feel like a million bucks!

on January 29th, 2009 at 2:49 pm
So far i have been taking it for 2 weeks. It adds energy to my wieght workout and my cardio workout. Also i don’t crave the same foods as i used too and it’s easier to eat the right foods and also I eat less because of reduced appetite. I have taken 2 inches off my waste by i am also working out 5 times a week. So far no side effects.
on February 3rd, 2009 at 5:22 pm
I have been taking Hydroxycut for less than a week. I am BLOATED most of the time, what’s up with that? I do feel more energy when I work out if I take the 3 pills, but I have shrunken it down to two pills because I have been feeling nauseated and just not well.
Is bloating common?
on February 9th, 2009 at 2:17 am
my side effects have been feeling sick after meals probably because the pills make me fuller. I have been drinking lots of water but not exersising at all. judging by most of the comments most people who dont exsersize are having bad side effects so i have learned that i need to excersise more often when taking the pills. maybe that will help me feel better .
is it bad to take the pills when your on birth control?
and is it bad to drink alchohol while on the pills ?
if anyone knows the answers to my questions i would really appreciate that.
thanks !

I’ve been thinking about taking Hydroxycut, since Ive never taking a diet pill in my life, I’m kinda scared. Does this really work?
on February 10th, 2009 at 3:07 pm
I have not taken Hydroxycut recently however was thinking again even though the formula has changed. I used to take max does and never had a problem until my workout when towards the end for after I would feel extremely sick to where when I got home I needed to lay down for 20 minutes till the feeling passed. It did no always happen but mainly on the intense longer workouts. But it did work!
To some people you should be taken a vitimian regardless of other supplements your taking. And really should drink at least a gallon of water a day.
To Alex a serving size is 3 pills which is 300mg of caffine. A cup of coffee has 200mg and who really only has a cup of coffee now a days which is like 8 oz. So it is not as bad as your advertising.

I started taking hydroxycut hardcore about fourteen weeks ago. I too was skeptical about a pill that could “do” so much, however i had become fat and as a result I had no motivation or energy to do anything but eat. I agree with many people that think magic pill are dangerous but I had to do something. Currently I have lost fourty five pounds and now am fifteen % body fat with the help of these wonderfull pills.I was sick to my stomach for the first two weeks, however i feel that my body was in shock. I went from drinking cokes and sweet tea and eating junk food constantly to a heathy high protien low fat diet and honestly i didn’t crave the food or sweets like I normaly did. H. H. gave my the energy i needed to modivate my self. My throught would get real dry and uncomfortable if I didn’t drink enough water (like 5 20ounces a day). I am on mounth four now and have stoped taking the supplement. First few days i didn’t have as much energy as always but according to the sales rep at GNC Need to give my body a break and continue my new learned eating and exercise routines. Good luck to every one

I found this sight while doing my own research about this product. I know the human body produces all of the chemicals that you need to support life. We tend to think our bodies are like cars, if you step on the gas things will work faster. Unlike a car your body know when you had too much or is getting too little. It will regulate your chemistry to suit the need at that time. I once was given a two-week sample of a herbal weight-loss drug. During the two weeks I did not feel any different, but when I ran out of the samples I slipped into a very deep depression (almost suicidal). What I later found out was that the body shutdown making the chemical I was ingesting and I crashed. After several days when the body realized I had stopped taking the drug it began producing what my body needed and I came out of my depression. Herbals are not as regulated as chemically produced drugs. Dosages should be watched carefully, and be aware that things you would normally consume. Caffeine causes blood vessels to dilate. So does aspirin, not a good idea if you are suffering from caffeine overload. For max. results take the full dose, but if you are having problems I would cut the dose in half. So what you only lose 1 1/2 pounds a week verses 5 or 10. Better than having a stroke due to caffeine overload. Increase dosage slowly till you are at the max.
on February 11th, 2009 at 9:53 pm
I’ve been taking the caffeine-free Hydroxycut for a couple of months now. I haven’t lost anything; I feel good, though. I have noticed that I don’t think about food constantly as I did before. I take 2 pills 3-times a day approx. 6 hrs. apart beginning at 6 AM and ending at 6 PM. I probably don’t drink enough water but do limit by soda to one per day. My job requires nearly constant walking for 6 hours per day. Any suggestions to get some weight loss? What am I doing wrong?
on February 12th, 2009 at 9:16 pm
about the age thing, does it seriously matter? cuz i’m 13 and I’m seriously i mean seriously overweight. I walk for like 40 mins per day (to and from skool. but it’s up n’ down hills) and i just can’t bring myse;f to excersising.

If i stop taking hydroxycut when im thin, do i get yoyos, or do i gain weight again?
on February 18th, 2009 at 12:41 am
Hydroxycut is just a version of a caffine pill with other added crap. It’s best just to take a combined pill of cafine and affedrin. This potent combination taken before workouts will max out your performance in any activity. Caffine is useless without a good dose of affedrin to compliment it. You can find affedrin in Tylonol actually. Give it a go if you can find a combo pill, or just the pills on their own. Make sure if you try it, you take it before work outs or physical activity. You’ll notice a big difference.
on February 19th, 2009 at 2:19 pm
I have been taking hydroxycut for almost a week now. 2 before every meal (6 per day). I’m also on a reduced diet and running almost every day. I feel great for the most part. When I first started taking them my stomach felt weird and I do get head aches once in awhile, but thats what ibuprofen is for. One thing I have noticed with taking them with my current diet that if I get too much I would feel like I had to throw up or just felt sick. Also my bathroom experience hasn’t been good. The pills are making it smell so rank, but I am still willing to keep with it and lose the weight I gained after high school.

i started taking hydroxycut about a week ago.my mom recommended it to me.since i started taking it i stopped drinking anything except skim milk and water.i eat everything i did before and i dont work out.since then i have lost 4 pounds and i have had no side effects.so far it is working for me.
on February 26th, 2009 at 3:09 am
I’m taking Hydroxycut because my cousin lost over 30 pounds in 2 months.
So I’ve been on it for 3 days so far, and I’m feeling the curbed appetite.
When I took it yesterday, I had an extremely intense workout where I pushed myself to the limit. My body’s not really producing any of those side effects so far.
I do not take it at night before dinner, because I think that the caffeine would keep me up at night, so that means I just take 2 pills per day. One before my morning workout and one before lunch.
Also, yesterday a few hours after working out, my lips started getting chapped (I think as a sign of not drinking enough water, though I do drink a gallon a day). I think this is because this new chemical that enters your digestive system makes it so you need take in more fluid than you usually do. (Even if you’re like me and drink a gallon or more a day) Which is good for you! So keep hydrated!
I read a lot of reviews and I thought I should take the stuff how I want to take it. The recommended dose is 2 pills 30 minutes before a meal, but after reading the dosages, I think one should be fine.
I’m not overweight, and in pretty good shape (just trying to get rid of the extra baggage that’s left) so I’m hoping it works. People need to realize that this isn’t a magic pill and you need to work out. The only reason I’m using this pill is because of my naturally slow metabolism and because I think I’ve plateaued many times in my various workouts the past year.

I’ve been wanting to take hydroxycut for a while. I see it in the store all the time. Im just worried it might affect my birth control pills. Would anyone know if it does?
on February 27th, 2009 at 2:52 pm
This pills works, at least for me it did. Was working out a while back and eating healthy, lost lot’s of weight then when I hit a plateau I took Hydroxycut and I seen faster weight loss results, increased energy, it did suppress my appetite. I drank about 14 glass of water a day while taking it. I noticed I was sweating much more and once or twice I did get a little spooked when I was running, I felt like my heart was pounding but, I was fine, just make sure YOUR DRINK LOT’S OF WATER!!! I’m taking it again, today is day one and I’m feeling a little rush from the caffeine since I don’t usually drink caffeine products but, I feel good. Whenever I took this before and I’ve noticed today also that I’m frequently going to the bathroom to pee and poop, sorry for the details
The peeing is obviously because I’m drinking so much water but, the pooping is probably because of the caffeine, that happens whenever I drink a coffee on the rare occasion so I was expecting that. The first time I took this pill I did feel quite ill the first day but, my body adjusted. I would feel a little “gaggy” every now and then but, I personally think it’s worth it. I never ever vomited while taking it. I recommend it but, only to people who take it as directed. And please remember to drink water with it or eat well and exercise otherwise you will end up very sickly.
on February 27th, 2009 at 2:56 pm
P.s: I noticed that after I stopped taking it last time or if I forgot a pill I would get killer headaches but, these did pass after a week or so and I’d take some headache pills to help.

i took hydroxycut for almost a month but the scale didnt even move. i still weigh 120 i wonder why when i think im doing everything right im only eating 1cup of rice everytime i eat, i drank 10 gasses of water a day even though i dont like drinking lots of water cause it makes me feel nauseated, i dont eat snacks, i went jogging and even try the ab lounge but nothing happened. i’m still fat!
on February 28th, 2009 at 10:52 pm
maybe you don’t have any fat or weight to lose. If your @ 120 pounds and only eating cups of rice and drinking water all day, my guess is your body is smart enough to keep something on your bones!
on March 1st, 2009 at 9:59 pm
I have been taking Hydroxycut for a few days now and i feel great! No side effects (thank god). I notice though i’m always thirsty, but it does say on the bottle to drink lots of water. I changed my diets to healthier foods but have really started exercising yet. I hope it works because i’m 19 and 206 lbs. I need that bikini body!!

A friend of mine was taking Hydroxycut and told me to try it out because it really works. When I got it i was scared because all the storys people have told me about head aches and being sick, and having the shakes. I have not had any of these while taking it witch I guess is a good thing. Some say it makes them feel not hungry. I have been eating three times a day and staying under 1500 calories and I feel just fine. I run on my treadmill for a hour a day and do my work out tapes two times a day. I have time because I am a stay at home mother. I have been on it for two weeks so far and lost 5lbs so far. To me it works and is worth it just as long as you eat right and work out everthing will be just fine.

I’m just curious. I notice alot of people posting that they are taking the pill but have also modified/altered their diets. Has anyone tried doing this w/o the pill to no avail? I’m talking strictly the increase water intake and the exercising. Increasing your H20 intake alone will help curb hunger and proper dieting will drastically increase weight loss. My question is with or without the pill doesnt the change in lifestyle that accompanies (water intake and exercise) naturally lend itself to weightloss? Especially if someone has been sedentary for long periods of time prior, or is the purpose of the pill to allow you to lose that much more weight? Just seems silly that Couch Potato Joe decided one day to lose weight; began exercising/eating right/drinking water…and then all of a sudden its all because of a pill…just my 2 cents.

Ive been taking hydroxycut for a few days and ive noticed that when i work out at the gym i can push myself harder and do more and be less tired i also work alot of hours at work and ive noticed that by taking hydroxycut that i have more energy get things done faster, time flys and im always in a better mood.. It definatly gives you energy without a crash.. although if you dont eat enough when taking them it will kind of make you sick to your stomache and if you take them later at night you will have a very hard time sleeping but hydroxycut does have a caffeine free product wether it works im not sure I work out alot and have noticed some weight lose since taking them but wether thats from sweating my butt off or the pills ill just have to wait and find out its a really good product and id recommend it

Chachi, I cant speak for everyone but I have changed my diet, water intake and exercise for about a year and a half now. It did work at first, I lost about 40 lbs in a year just changing those things, but there comes a time when people plateau and something else needs to be tried. Even changing diets to low carb from low calories etc or exercise routines (interval training to weights to aerobics classes) can’t boost the metaoblism when you hit a hard plateau. I think it is good to be healthier but those people who claim that just eating less and exercising more is the only key to weigh loss, must have never hit a real plateau in their lives. If this pill helps with longer heartrate producing exercise sessions and less cravings then I see how that could be beneficial.

I am on day 6. I did feel the energy kick in and it was a little scary at first. My normal caff intake only usually only includes iced tea. The person who was in the bathroom a lot - I must agree. I would think or hope some of those #2s are casued by an increase in metabloism. I am in my mid 30’s and am just trying to shed 10 or 12 pounds of winter weight. I live in a city so walking is part of my normal routine outside of Jan & Feb. I am a pretty light and healthy eater to begin with but I can already see my stomach getting back to being flatter. I plan to take it for about 2 more weeks then stop to see if I put the weight back on and if not I’ll probably take it another 3 weeks before I get in my bathing suit. Overall it seems to do what it claims

I am a big fan of Hydroxycut. I found the best way to not have any of the side effects is to drink the recommended amount of water. Also, I only take 2 pills twice a day because if I take any later than 2pm I will not sleep at all at night.

seek first the kingdom of god and everything will be given unto you. (matthew 6:33) before and after pray before you play. Monday will be my first day along with prayer to our lord JESUS CHRIST. MAY YOU ALL INHERIT THE WILL of knowing why you are doing this. Do it for yourself, not for the world. say amen.. AMEN.. god bless all the comments that I just read. But none did mentioned anything why they are doing this, again dont do it for the world do it to INHERIT to have a clean HEART, ATTITUDE,
COMPASSION, and most of all LOVE (Colossins 3:23)
wisdom power glory belongs to JESUS CHRIST AMEN.. MAY YOU ALL HAVE THE POWER TO UNDERSTAND THE REASON WHY YOU ARE LOSING WEIGHT.

“I’m just curious. I notice alot of people posting that they are taking the pill but have also modified/altered their diets. Has anyone tried doing this w/o the pill to no avail?”
Chachi i was 320 my senior year of highschool and was determined to lose weight and i did with my football teams workout. i lost 40 pounds and got down to 280. well football was over i stoped working out for a semester and just started up again this january. i am doing my old football workouts again and have gone from around 280 to around 250. sounds all good but with college starting for me again and working 32 hours a week just being able to squeeze my workouts in has become very tiring. some workouts i have felt very lethargic and unable to finish my workouts. so i went out and bought hydroxycut and took it and i have never felt better and its only the first couple of days. sure my stomach isnt feeling too well but my body is just adjusting. today though i felt like i could run a marathon. (just a figure of speech, i did run 4 miles though) in my current situation i feel like its necessary i take it or i will become lazy and stop working out. the only thing i might change is taking a caffeine free pill at night because i cant sleep with the regular ones.
what im trying to say is i agree with you. if you change your diet and work really hard you dont need hydroxycut. you should only take hydroxycut if you have a slow metabolism or are very often tired.

Hey everyonee!
I just started this morning actually. I took Rapid Slim last year, and lost 20lbs in a month! Iv been hearing nothing but good things about this one, so i decided to try this one out.
I never have caffine so it always scares me when i get jitters which iv had on and off all day.
I drink lots of water , am eatting better, and working out.
Hope this pill works as fast the other one.
Just heard my heart beating in my ear - Not a good sign, I dont like when stuff like that happends.
Scares me and then i stop with the pills.
I had NO problems with Rapid Slim, just pooping alot.

OK. whoever Lei is. You are nuts. Perhaps you have an eating disorder. I do not mean to be harsh, my sister battles the same thing. 120 lbs is skinny my friend. You are not fat.The reason the scale has not moved is most likely due to the fact that your body is trying to save fat, because you most likely have none to little. Please leave this supplement to people who actually need it. Please understand 120 lbs is a completely normal weight. If you are abusing this product please stop and get help. I know I am a stranger, but sometimes strangers are the ones to say something first. For others who are using this product, I hope you regain some confidence but understand our bodies will never look like the bodies on the T.V, or in the commercials Because we can never be air brushed or have a professional team telling us how to look.I hope you get the results you are looking for, but I also hope you someday love you body how it is. And find some inner love.

I have been looking up about this pill for a while. I play college baseball, and pressure to get rid of the fat is heavy. My workout, and diet will be no problem, but do I have to take 2 pills every time, or does 1 pill at a time work as well?

It’s been about two weeks for me and I it’s going great. I started taking the pills since I gained a lot of weight freshman year of college, Before I was about 225lbs(I ate mostly fast food). Right now I am at 212lbs. I’m not used to caffeine so I go the caffeine free ones and I don’t feel any side-effects. I play basketball every other day, I go to the gym regularly, and I’ve been eating healthier. I think its great, but only if y

I have been taking Hydroxycut for about 2 weeks now and still haven’t seen any result. All I need to lose is 15 pounds that I have gained over the holidays. I used to be able to lose weight very easily, as well as gaining. But that’s not the case this time around. That’s the only reason I started to use these. I have heard that you MUST exercise in order for the pills to work. It could be true since all I have been eating is healthy food, even before I started taking the pill, but still haven’t lose a pound. I usually exercise regularly 2-3 times a week up until the past 2 weeks due to some issues I’ve been having. Does anyone know if it’s true that you MUST exercise in order for these pills to work?
on April 2nd, 2009 at 2:40 pm
Well i just started using hydroxycut 3 days ago, and it has actually made me eat less than i used to, now i eat smaller portions of food. i like the fact that i dont crave anything anymore than i used to. but since i started the pills, i noticed that i go to the bathroom a whole lot, and i have headaches. and sometimes my stomach hurts which also makes me go to the bathroom. im on day 4, and i feel great tho. Would the pills stop my period from coming?? Will it be late?
on April 3rd, 2009 at 2:36 pm
I just finished my second day on the pill and I am down 3 pounds… I can’t say how well all the ingredients help lose weight but I can say I have no appetite what so ever. I mean the food still tastes good but I don’t really want it. Though I really need to remember to eat more I am 6′4 323.5 pounds and I have been consuming only 700 calories the last couple days. Its not because I am trying to starve myself its just that food doesn’t appeal to me what so ever.
I don’t “work out” but at my job I am on my feet 8 hours a day constantly moving carrying heavy objects and pulling heavy pallets so I figure my exercise is covered well enough. Though I do plan to start working out on the gym to hopefully increase my weight lose.
As far as side effects go the only one I have had is lose of appetite… and trouble sleeping though the lose of appetite is a desired side effect and one of the reasons the pill works so calling it a side effect probably doesn’t do it justice
I started taking HC because I have been plateaued at 326 for about a year now, I have always assumed that diet pills were all scams but honestly I broke my plateau in two days by losing about 3 pounds in two days. Now I know some of you think pills are not healthy but let me ask. Is being 325 pounds much healthier? Admittedly I am an ex-power lifter and its not all fat but trust me i’m unhealthily fat.

Jane - Maybe that works for Oprah, but for myself, I hate my body because it has caused me low self-esteem throughout elementary, middle, and currently high school. I’m so sick of people pin-pointing how fat I am. I am so sick of being glorified as a fat object. I know adolescent kids are ignorant, but they sure leave a long lasting emotional impact. I have not tried hydroxycut , but I am tempted.
I exercise and exercise during the summer, and when winter hits, I stop the moving and start the eating. I was tempted to puke out everything I ate, but I was just too scared to endure the process of choking while my guts are spilled.
on April 7th, 2009 at 5:43 am
i just started 2 days ago and this is what i noticed:
1) increased energy- I didnt feel jittery but I have had a hard time falling asleep. I also drank 3 cups of coffee today so that doesnt help
2) decreased appetite: ok you are talking to a person that has a crazy sweet tooth, today, i didnt have any cravings for anything salty or sweet like I usually do.
at lunch I had a healthy turkey salad and it felt satisfying.
i usually am not satisfied with a meal unless I have carbs or sweets but this pill makes me feel full faster, and I eat slower since I am not as hungry.
3) I feel more focused at work today- i got alot done. it was a little weird because usualy i am easily distracted at work- but i zipped right thru my day
4) its going t be my 3rd day so I will keep you guys posted!

All I got to say about Hydroxycut is that it works! If you follow directions and a diet.
on April 11th, 2009 at 1:05 am
I took hydroxycut for a while. It made my stomach a little queezy for a bit, but I never felt like I wanted to throw up. I don’t know that it made me feel the way it made some of ya’ll feel. It made me not want to eat as much. Also I never took them past 4 pm because then I can’t sleep at night. It does say on the label to start out taking one three times a day and over an 8 day period to increase to 3 three times a day. A person should avoid any extra caffine and drink ALOT of water.

I am a journalist in the Army and in order to get a 300 on my PT test and enter into air assault I need to lose weight and get in better shape, which I have been working on constantly, I got Hydroxycut max about a week ago to hopefully boost my energy and metabolism, took it for about 5 days but it kept making my heart race and actually had alot of the same side effects as aderall, i couldnt help but think of the movie Requiem for a Dream, if you havent seent that movie, its a bit intense but its good, the diet pills the mother takes in that movie are a lower dose of speed for the most part, so she does loose weight but also kind of loses her mind. Im sure that if this product were that unsafe it wouldnt still be on the market but I dont consume any caffiene and i eat almost entirely organic food so maybe all the chemicals are reacting harshly. Plus, Jane makes a good point, if you are 120lbs, unless you are under 5ft tall than you do appear to have some sort of problem, Im 5′3 and a 145lbs, and Im only 15 or so lbs over weight. peace, love and respect~

i have been taking HH for a week now. i am already down 4 lbs. i do not take the evening dose..simply because i lay in bed WIDE AWAKE until about 3 or 4 in the am…not so much fun when you have to work at 7. but it does curb my appetite and gives me more stamina to work out with. i really am impressed.
on April 16th, 2009 at 3:42 pm
On my first day of this pill I lost 2 pounds. I was kinda shocked because I never believed people when they posted that. I know this is probably water weight. The second day I got really bad stomach cramps, I decided to weight till I got out of school to take it on a regular basis. I was just wondering if anyone else had this, and did it go away?
on April 16th, 2009 at 5:09 pm
I just started taking Hydroxycut five days ago. I only took one pill the first day because I am not used to so much caffeine. I even got a little jittery with that. I am now taking two pills a day, one before breakfast and one before dinner. I am also drinking about ten 8 oz glasses of water a day. I work nights and when I used to come home I would sit and watch TV and eat chips, dip, popcorn, drink alcohol…until 3 or 4 in the morning. Then I would go to bed. Since taking this pill, I have no desire to eat after 7 pm. When I do feel a little urge for a snack I eat a piece of low fat mozarella cheese or an apple. I cannot believe how all those food cravings have gone away. The best news is I no longer desire the alcohol (which by the way stimulates your appetite). I have started to exercise every day with pilates, alternating with weights and cardio. This is no lie, I have already lost 6 pounds in just a few days and my jeans are so loose I have to wear a belt. This product definitely works if you do what they say which is start slow at first. Even one pill the first day will make you feel a little weird, but to overcompensate for that drink the water all day. The only downfall, I am constantly going to the bathroom. Who cares if I keep losing weight though. I have 10 times more energy than before. Oh, I take my last pill before 5pm because I know I won’t be able to get to sleep. I also drink a sleepy time herbal tea when I go to bed. My boyfriend tried this, he weighs 250 pounds and started with 2 pills right away. He felt so horrible he said he wasn’t going to do it again. It doesn’t matter what you weigh, always start slow. I am 5′1 and weighed 149 pounds and am now at 143. I will continue to do as their website says. I also have high blood pressure and have checked it several times and it is fine.
Good luck to all.

I’ve been taking it for a week. I’ve done hardcore work out 4 days of the 7
I’ve been on it, I eat pretty healthy for the most part.
The only problem I have with this pill so far, is that I’m extremely nauseated ever since I’ve increased the dose to the 4 pills daily and today was the first for 6 pills and I’ve been nauseated all day.
Will this go away?

i’m 23 years old, 5′2 and 133 lbs which is not actually overweight, but my goal is to get to 115 which is not unhealthy for a woman of my height. i was previously somewhat heavier but did cardio (plus weights sometimes) 3-4 times a week to get to 133, til i noticed i wasn’t getting any further than that. i started taking hydroxycut 4 days ago for the extra help, but i don’t think it’s working for me, even though i have never been a big coffee/tea/soda drinker (maybe once a month) and have always drank a lot of water. so you’d think the caffeine would do a lot for me, but it hasn’t. i take 2 pills about 1-1.5 hours before my usual workout, and don’t notice any extra energy. in fact, when i take 2 pills in the morning before breakfast, i’m still able to snooze while on my commute to work! as for my appetite, i feel hungrier than ever before! i end up eating my usual portion size and still feeling hungry afterwards! so i’m not losing any weight… just staying the same and feeling extra hungry. if this sounds like you, please share, i’m wondering if anyone else’s experience is like mine thus far. or if anyone can explain why my hunger has increased instead of decreased, please share that too.
on April 24th, 2009 at 4:08 am
I’m on my second day of taking Hydroxycut and have definitely noticed a big increase in energy. I’ve also had mild headaches, but realize after reading all the comments that I haven’t been drinking nearly enough water. It seems that Hydroxycut dehydrates you a lot (I had to pee about every 45 min on the first day…) As far as an appetite suppressant, it works really well, except late at night (because the caffeine really does keep me up late, even if I take well before dinner.) By the time I’m feeling sleepy, I’m getting pretty hungry, so don’t give in, just force yourself to sleep! Hope to see some results soon…

I realize that a lot of the people who complain about taking H.H and not losing weight don’t do an actual cardio workout. Taking the pills and eating right is very good and I commend you. But if you’re not doing 30-40mins of cardio and reaching the heart rate zone that burns fat, then don’t complain. H.H gives you a very good boost, it’s not a magic pill, it’s a supplement there to assist you.
To those who put on weight after losing then stopping H.H. If you don’t continue with proper nutrition and exercise you will gain weight.
There is no magic pill, Hydroxycut assists you.
Don’t think of weight loss as diet and exercise, think of it as nutrition and maintenance, like a car perhaps.
To those who complain about side effects, when I started H.H I had some jitters on the first day, my bottle said 1 pills twice a day for the first 3 days, then 2 pills twice a day for the next 4 days then 3 pills twice a day beyond. I drink more than 10 glasses of water per day. I don’t take the pill late at night. I take in the morning about 5:30 a.m, I do 40 mins cardio from 6 - 6:40 a.m then I grab breakfast etc. At around 3:30p.m I take my next dose and head out work to the gym, I do some light weights then 40 mins cardio. I go home prepare dinner etc. No problems sleeping, no side effects.
If you read the instructions, follow them and adhere to a healthy lifestyle, the pills will help. If not, then stop complaining that the pill does nothing for you, cuz you’re doing nothing for yourself either.

i just bought the green tea version of hydroxycut; it’s new and we’ll see how it goes. from what i can tell, the purpose of this is to curb my appetite and give me energy when i work out. here’s to drinking lots of water! i already work out everyday, about 30min -1hr. i’m 22, and trying to lose about 15-20lbs i put on my last semester of college. thanks to everyone who posted on this; it was really helpful and informational.
four items of concern:
1. commenter “Lei”…i agree with commenters “Lisa Lisa” and “Jane”. i am 5′1″, and want to get to my original, doctor recommended ideal weight of…yes, 120lbs. rice has no nutritional value, and is just carbohydrate - my mom is a nurse, and she says you should add an egg white, or a piece of grilled chicken or fish, with some steamed veggies on the side. add some exercise, and voila! since none of us can see how you look, we can’t really tell you what to do, and we might be wrong, so that’s why i can only comment on your “cup of rice” statement, but baby, i’m trying to get to back to where you are, so take some pride in the fact that i’m already jealous of you!
2. personally, i don’t think anyone under 18 should be taking this. commenter “Tanny”, you should probably check with your doctor first. (someone else on here said they were…16? can’t find that comment…sorry.)
3. i suggest the people who have questions about complications with their birth control and periods consult a doctor. if someone gave the wrong advice on here, the results could produce tears. (as in, someone else doing the crying for you. baby tears.)
4. lastly, does anyone else think commenter “Mamapink” is crazy? i can’t really tell what her intentions are…are you wishing us well? because it kind of sounds backhanded, if you are. i was raised and still am non-denominational christian, and am a deacons daughter. everyone has different reasons for wanting to look and feel better. that’s the great thing about online forum and reviews. if someone’s choice turns out to be harmful for them, we can read it and say our piece. (see point number 1, and “Lisa Lisa” and “Jane’s” post). if you use your ill-conceived guilt tactics to scare people away from these public forums, which were established by the public to help the public, we might not be able to maybe save someone who is misusing the product.
that’s all.

The FDA said it has received 23 reports of serious health problems ranging from jaundice and elevated liver enzymes, an indicator of potential liver injury, to liver damage requiring liver transplant.
As well, the 2007 death of a 19-year-old teen has now been linked to the supplement.
Other health problems reported include seizures; cardiovascular disorders; and rhabdomyolysis, a type of muscle damage that can lead to other serious health problems such as kidney failure.
The liver injuries did not appear to be due to overdose. The FDA says the cases were reported by patients at the doses recommended on the Hydroxycut bottle.
“Consumers should consult a physician or other health care professional if they are experiencing symptoms possibly associated with these products,” the FDA warned.
Those symptoms include yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (called jaundice), and brown urine. Other symptoms include nausea, vomiting, light-coloured stools, excessive fatigue, weakness, stomach or abdominal pain, itching, and loss of appetite.

Mamapink i think you have issues, first of all im sure alot ofus a familiar with the lord jesus christ. Second why should people have to state in the comments why they want to loose weight? What gives you the idea “looosing weight for the world?” Loosing weight speaks for itself, NOBODY Wants to be fat!!!!! Besides being fat is unhealthy. Its called look good and feel great honey. Having a healthy body makes a big part in your life. And Lei, I have to agree with the other commenters on you,…..You need to get help sounds like to me you have a disorder….Stay 120 please.

I started these pills one day and the next day I got up to go for a jog and felt nauseated and shaky (like a caffeine overdose), and started projectile vomiting. I never took them again.
