I started these pills one day and the next day I got up to go for a jog and felt nauseated and shaky (like a caffeine overdose), and started projectile vomiting. I never took them again.

Mamapink i think you have issues, first of all im sure alot ofus a familiar with the lord jesus christ. Second why should people have to state in the comments why they want to loose weight? What gives you the idea "looosing weight for the world?" Loosing weight speaks for itself, NOBODY Wants to be fat!!!!! Besides being fat is unhealthy. Its called look good and feel great honey. Having a healthy body makes a big part in your life. And Lei, I have to agree with the other commenters on you,.....You need to get help sounds like to me you have a disorder....Stay 120 please.

The FDA said it has received 23 reports of serious health problems ranging from jaundice and elevated liver enzymes, an indicator of potential liver injury, to liver damage requiring liver transplant.

As well, the 2007 death of a 19-year-old teen has now been linked to the supplement.

Other health problems reported include seizures; cardiovascular disorders; and rhabdomyolysis, a type of muscle damage that can lead to other serious health problems such as kidney failure.

The liver injuries did not appear to be due to overdose. The FDA says the cases were reported by patients at the doses recommended on the Hydroxycut bottle.

"Consumers should consult a physician or other health care professional if they are experiencing symptoms possibly associated with these products," the FDA warned.

Those symptoms include yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (called jaundice), and brown urine. Other symptoms include nausea, vomiting, light-coloured stools, excessive fatigue, weakness, stomach or abdominal pain, itching, and loss of appetite.

i just bought the green tea version of hydroxycut; it's new and we'll see how it goes. from what i can tell, the purpose of this is to curb my appetite and give me energy when i work out. here's to drinking lots of water! i already work out everyday, about 30min -1hr. i'm 22, and trying to lose about 15-20lbs i put on my last semester of college. thanks to everyone who posted on this; it was really helpful and informational.

four items of concern:

1. commenter "Lei"...i agree with commenters "Lisa Lisa" and "Jane". i am 5'1", and want to get to my original, doctor recommended ideal weight of...yes, 120lbs. rice has no nutritional value, and is just carbohydrate - my mom is a nurse, and she says you should add an egg white, or a piece of grilled chicken or fish, with some steamed veggies on the side. add some exercise, and voila! since none of us can see how you look, we can't really tell you what to do, and we might be wrong, so that's why i can only comment on your "cup of rice" statement, but baby, i'm trying to get to back to where you are, so take some pride in the fact that i'm already jealous of you! :)

2. personally, i don't think anyone under 18 should be taking this. commenter "Tanny", you should probably check with your doctor first. (someone else on here said they were...16? can't find that comment...sorry.)

3. i suggest the people who have questions about complications with their birth control and periods consult a doctor. if someone gave the wrong advice on here, the results could produce tears. (as in, someone else doing the crying for you. baby tears.)

4. lastly, does anyone else think commenter "Mamapink" is crazy? i can't really tell what her intentions are...are you wishing us well? because it kind of sounds backhanded, if you are. i was raised and still am non-denominational christian, and am a deacons daughter. everyone has different reasons for wanting to look and feel better. that's the great thing about online forum and reviews. if someone's choice turns out to be harmful for them, we can read it and say our piece. (see point number 1, and "Lisa Lisa" and "Jane's" post). if you use your ill-conceived guilt tactics to scare people away from these public forums, which were established by the public to help the public, we might not be able to maybe save someone who is misusing the product.

that's all.

I realize that a lot of the people who complain about taking H.H and not losing weight don't do an actual cardio workout. Taking the pills and eating right is very good and I commend you. But if you're not doing 30-40mins of cardio and reaching the heart rate zone that burns fat, then don't complain. H.H gives you a very good boost, it's not a magic pill, it's a supplement there to assist you.
To those who put on weight after losing then stopping H.H. If you don't continue with proper nutrition and exercise you will gain weight.
There is no magic pill, Hydroxycut assists you.
Don't think of weight loss as diet and exercise, think of it as nutrition and maintenance, like a car perhaps.
To those who complain about side effects, when I started H.H I had some jitters on the first day, my bottle said 1 pills twice a day for the first 3 days, then 2 pills twice a day for the next 4 days then 3 pills twice a day beyond. I drink more than 10 glasses of water per day. I don't take the pill late at night. I take in the morning about 5:30 a.m, I do 40 mins cardio from 6 - 6:40 a.m then I grab breakfast etc. At around 3:30p.m I take my next dose and head out work to the gym, I do some light weights then 40 mins cardio. I go home prepare dinner etc. No problems sleeping, no side effects.
If you read the instructions, follow them and adhere to a healthy lifestyle, the pills will help. If not, then stop complaining that the pill does nothing for you, cuz you're doing nothing for yourself either.

I'm on my second day of taking Hydroxycut and have definitely noticed a big increase in energy. I've also had mild headaches, but realize after reading all the comments that I haven't been drinking nearly enough water. It seems that Hydroxycut dehydrates you a lot (I had to pee about every 45 min on the first day...) As far as an appetite suppressant, it works really well, except late at night (because the caffeine really does keep me up late, even if I take well before dinner.) By the time I'm feeling sleepy, I'm getting pretty hungry, so don't give in, just force yourself to sleep! Hope to see some results soon...

i'm 23 years old, 5'2 and 133 lbs which is not actually overweight, but my goal is to get to 115 which is not unhealthy for a woman of my height. i was previously somewhat heavier but did cardio (plus weights sometimes) 3-4 times a week to get to 133, til i noticed i wasn't getting any further than that. i started taking hydroxycut 4 days ago for the extra help, but i don't think it's working for me, even though i have never been a big coffee/tea/soda drinker (maybe once a month) and have always drank a lot of water. so you'd think the caffeine would do a lot for me, but it hasn't. i take 2 pills about 1-1.5 hours before my usual workout, and don't notice any extra energy. in fact, when i take 2 pills in the morning before breakfast, i'm still able to snooze while on my commute to work! as for my appetite, i feel hungrier than ever before! i end up eating my usual portion size and still feeling hungry afterwards! so i'm not losing any weight... just staying the same and feeling extra hungry. if this sounds like you, please share, i'm wondering if anyone else's experience is like mine thus far. or if anyone can explain why my hunger has increased instead of decreased, please share that too.

I've been taking it for a week. I've done hardcore work out 4 days of the 7
I've been on it, I eat pretty healthy for the most part.

The only problem I have with this pill so far, is that I'm extremely nauseated ever since I've increased the dose to the 4 pills daily and today was the first for 6 pills and I've been nauseated all day.

Will this go away?

The only problem I have with this pill so far, is that I’m extremely nauseated ever since I’ve increased the dose to the 4 pills daily and today was the first for 6 pills and I’ve been nauseated all day.

Will this go away?

I just started taking Hydroxycut five days ago. I only took one pill the first day because I am not used to so much caffeine. I even got a little jittery with that. I am now taking two pills a day, one before breakfast and one before dinner. I am also drinking about ten 8 oz glasses of water a day. I work nights and when I used to come home I would sit and watch TV and eat chips, dip, popcorn, drink alcohol...until 3 or 4 in the morning. Then I would go to bed. Since taking this pill, I have no desire to eat after 7 pm. When I do feel a little urge for a snack I eat a piece of low fat mozarella cheese or an apple. I cannot believe how all those food cravings have gone away. The best news is I no longer desire the alcohol (which by the way stimulates your appetite). I have started to exercise every day with pilates, alternating with weights and cardio. This is no lie, I have already lost 6 pounds in just a few days and my jeans are so loose I have to wear a belt. This product definitely works if you do what they say which is start slow at first. Even one pill the first day will make you feel a little weird, but to overcompensate for that drink the water all day. The only downfall, I am constantly going to the bathroom. Who cares if I keep losing weight though. I have 10 times more energy than before. Oh, I take my last pill before 5pm because I know I won't be able to get to sleep. I also drink a sleepy time herbal tea when I go to bed. My boyfriend tried this, he weighs 250 pounds and started with 2 pills right away. He felt so horrible he said he wasn't going to do it again. It doesn't matter what you weigh, always start slow. I am 5'1 and weighed 149 pounds and am now at 143. I will continue to do as their website says. I also have high blood pressure and have checked it several times and it is fine.

Good luck to all.

On my first day of this pill I lost 2 pounds. I was kinda shocked because I never believed people when they posted that. I know this is probably water weight. The second day I got really bad stomach cramps, I decided to weight till I got out of school to take it on a regular basis. I was just wondering if anyone else had this, and did it go away?
